Fluid Isolation Valves

High flow and large nominal size for the use of various media

A fluid isolation solenoid valve features a diaphragm that strictly separates the valve drive from the process media. This enables applications requiring either absolute freedom from contamination or a high level of chemical resistance against aggressive media. With such valves only selected materials will get in direct contact with the process media. Thanks to the use of selected materials and strict media separation, the KENDRION fluid isolation solenoid valves offer maximum flexibility and can also be used for process media such as acids or alkalis, as well as special inks in the printing industry.

In order to keep energy consumption as low as possible despite high flow volumes, KENDRION has developed a fluid isolation solenoid valve featuring a pressure balanced design, which generally keeps power consumption below 6 W.

With its large nominal orifice of 3.5 mm (0.138 inch) the KENDRION fluid isolation solenoid valve can be used for a wide range of applications involving high pressures of up to 8 bar (116 psi) and flow rates of up to 350 l/min (92.4 gpm). It is available as 3/2- or 2/2-way valve in NC (normally closed) or NO (normally open) position. On request it can also be designed as a 3/2-way valve to work as junction or mixer. Optionally this valve is available with manual operation and/or switch position indicator.

The default case material of the valve is PPSU. On special request it can also be made with other plastics suitable for injection moulding. The seals are available either in NBR, FKM or EPDM (depending on the application). Externally either a flange or a push-in connection for 4 or 6 mm hoses with outer calibration can be selected. Depending on the application, even combinations of flange and push-in connections are possible – for example a 2/2-way in-line version with push-in connection. In combination with a connector according to industry standard EN 60529 these valves conform to IP65 protection rating. The fluid isolation solenoid valve from KENDRION in compact design is available for 12 V DC or 24 V DC operation. On request, other input voltages are available as well.
