Safe stopping of the AGV in case of power outage
with the Emergency Solenoid Arrestor
Our Kendrion emergency solenoid arrestor can bring the AGV to an immediate stop in the event of a power loss, caused for example by a short circuit or battery failure, by mechanically blocking the wheels.
This quick blocking by a locking pin increases the safety standard of the AGV. Which comes into play, for example, on a ramp with an incline. Unbraked, the AGV could roll down the ramp and endanger the ongoing operating processes. The emergency solenoid arrestor from Kendrion can be individually adapted to the exact needs of your application.

Securing the AGV flap in locking position
with the bistable solenoid BI034
The BI034 bistable solenoid is used in small AGV systems, for example, to hold in position flaps that are installed on an AGV and lifted at an incline for package delivery. The BI034 locks the position in a very short time and unlocks it again just as quickly after the task has been successfully completed. The BI034 impresses with its precision and durability and has already proven itself in AGV applications.

Blocking the laser light within milliseconds
with the laser shutter with blade
The shutter D23 laser, which is designed for continuous operation, blocks the laser beam with its optical paddle and a switching time of approx. 30 ms during operation and in pauses to protect the laser.
Based on our rotary solenoids D2, Kendrion offers a wide range of highly reliable optical shutters that are designed to block light and laser beams for safety purpose. With at least 10 million switching cycles, it is designed for reliable continuous operation. In addition, the integrated photocells enable us to detect the switching position. The bouncing effect is optimized by using an integrated damping mechanism.

Securing loads on AGVs
with our shuttle solenoids BSM043
The BSM043 shuttle solenoids are the perfect solution for securing loads on AGVs. With a 90° swivel movement, the rotating magnetic aluminum finger secures the load and releases after transport for removal. Thanks to its bistable design, the BSM043 is very energy-efficient and can withstand high lateral forces.

Magnetic gripping of metallic loads
with the permanent holding magnets GTN
The bistable holding magnets GTN025 and GTN050 are suitable as handling magnets on AGVs for gripping metal loads. The low power consumption and the currentless holding of the load combined with the small size make the magnet grippers superior components on driverless transport vehicles.
