Gas chromatography is an analytical method in which a gaseous sample mixture is separated into individual chemical compounds for analysis of the composition. Solenoid valves from Kendrion are used for injection the sample meeting high requirements of cleanliness, tightness and reliability.
Solenoid valve for chromatography in application
In gas chromatography, gaseous sample mixtures are separated into individual chemical compounds for analytical purposes. A gas chromatograph essentially consists of injector, separation column in the GC oven and detector. The injector is used to inject the sample into the separation column. The Kendrion solenoid valves have the task of precisely defining the flow paths of the gaseous sample in the injector. Depending on the application, the solenoid valves are used in the lower pressure range of up to 8 bar. The flow rate is determined by the stainless steel capillary tubes, which move in the range of ml/min.
The Kendrion valves of the 64 series are essential components of this process and convince especially by
- their compact size
- the low dead space volume
- their high accuracy and reliability.
