Modular PLC with 16 inputs and 16 outputs
The aim of the starter kit is to make you familiar with the programming system CODESYS V3 and the hardware of KENDRION. In a few steps you will learn how to programme a PLC according to the international standard IEC 61131-3.
The PLC used here, FIO Controller, is an embedded IPC with CODESYS V3 PLC and web server. It offers the full intelligence of an industrial PC (IPC), but only has the relevant control tasks interfaces. On the other hand, it also costs significantly less than a conventional IPC and is small enough to fit on any standard DIN rail. The PLC simultaneously supports CANopen® and EtherCAT® master. Both fieldbus systems can be easily configured in CODESYS. In addition, the LAN interface can be used for data acquisition in an Industry 4.0 environment.
With our “easy to clip-on” digital as well as analogue I/O modules, function modules and gateways, the modular PLC can be expanded to a complete, customised control solution.
